The goal was simple: rake the leaves into piles, bag them, put the bags on the curb. I did make four tidy piles, but then the free help showed up. There are now no full bags, no piles, and it has since rained. Isn’t there an old saying: “rake twice, bag once”?
Of course they were shouting “PILE”!!!! every time a fist-full of leaves went flying through the air which leads me to the conclusion that either I have the world’s most sensitive children who recognize the effort it takes for a pregnant lady to rake the entire lawn while running after two little ones or, they are really just pure evil little beings. Crazies.
